MAGUS SPH1 Phase Сontrast Slider

Phase contrast slider MAGUS SPH1 is an accessory for observations using the phase-contrast method. It is designed specifically for the MAGUS Bio V300 biological inverted microscope and works in conjunction with the MAGUS 20HP and MAGUS 40HP phase objectives.

The slider has three openings. The side openings have built-in inserts: One is used for working on an objective with 20x magnification, and the second one is for an objective with 40x magnification. The central opening does not have an insert and is used for working in the brightfield method. The slider is installed in the microscope condenser slot. After installation, you need to align the slider apertures with the phase rings of the objectives. For this purpose, an auxiliary centering telescope is used, which is included in the MAGUS Bio V300 microscope kit.

The phase-contrast microscopy method is used to study low-contrast living objects that cannot be seen in brightfield. The method does not use staining as it is harmful to microorganisms.
