You’ve rolled out your iCOMPEL™ digital signage to support multiple screens. You like what you see, but you’re looking to simplify the management of all players in your burgeoning organization.

You need the iCOMPEL Deployment Manager (iDM). It simplifies the task of managing multiple media channels in larger applications where multiple iCOMPEL publisher and subscriber player components are used.

Web browser accessible, the iDM provides centralized management of and reporting for many iCOMPEL units. Models are available to control 100, 500, 1000, or even 1500 individual players.

Once connected to the appliance, your many iCOMPEL players are represented in the iDM’s easy-to-manage GUI interface. It gives you complete visibility of your digital signage network. Display the specific players as pushpins on a geographic map or in a sortable, tabular list. If necessary, drill down to the individual players to check their status.

Manage your digital assets.
As a versatile, "asset manager" platform, the iDM gives you a single appliance to monitor and remotely manage all your iCOMPEL players—even if they're geographically separated in different offices.

With the iDM, you can group iCOMPEL units into an organization. Folders within the iDM GUI enable your many iCOMPEL players to be grouped more logically, such as into stores, or by content type.

Each iCOMPEL in the network is set up to periodically report its status to the iDM. Because this status information resides in a database, it can be searched and queried when you seek specific configuration and performance details.

You also have the option of setting the the iDM to work as a VPN server, so the individual iCOMPEL units can access it from behind firewalls using AES 128-bit encrypted communications. Transport Layer Security (TLS) V1 protocols enable you to securely authenticate players into the VPN.

Advanced reporting functions.
Plus, the iCOMPEL iDM offers live and historic status reporting. Compile detailed reports showing what signage layouts played on specific days and in what location.

Reports show start/end times and the duration of playout, information that can be exported as a .csv file for analysis in Excel or another spreadsheet program or into an external database application. Use the iDM for creating media auditing reports, for example.

You can also generate thumbnail reports, in which image thumbnails of the iCOMPEL screens are shown through the iDM GUI interface so you can see the current status of individual units.

What’s more, you can configure an iCOMPEL player to send RS-232 messages to an attached display, and the response you get from that display can be reported through the iDM using tools such as Crystal Reports.

Alarm notification capabilities.
Alarms can be set up through the iDM to notify you and/or other users by e-mail when certain conditions present a threat to the normal operation of individual iCOMPEL players.

Receiving these alarms, you’ll know when the temperature of a player's CPU or disk approaches maximum levels, or when free disk space goes below a certain level, for example.

You can also be informed of when the normal iCOMPEL schedule is overridden and hasn’t returned to normal, when there's a loss of time synchronization between units, or when the software version installed on an iCOMPEL doesn't match a specified version.

In addition, you can set the iDM up to not generate alarm conditions in periods of planned iCOMPEL units' downtime.
